The Department of Educational Psychology & Foundations at the University of Northern Iowa invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2010. Area of specialization is open, but candidates with scholarly interests in subject-matter learning, teacher preparation, teacher evaluation or school psychology are especially encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, undergraduate courses in learning and motivation, classroom assessment and graduate courses related to learning and assessment, research design, and program evaluation. The successful candidate will also be expected to serve on or supervise masters, specialist, and doctoral committees. A doctoral degree in educational psychology, applied psychology, school psychology, or a closely related social science discipline and demonstrated potential for effective teaching and scholarship is required. Applicants who are ABD with evidence of degree completion by August 30, 2010 will be considered. Pre-employment background checks are also required.
