Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor,
African American Studies
The American Studies
Department at Franklin & Marshall College
invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach courses in
African American and American Studies, beginning Fall
2008. Position is renewable for up to three years on evidence of good teaching
and/or continued administrative approval. Ph.D. preferred. Teaching load is 3/2
and includes teaching in the College’s innovative Foundations general education
program. Ability to teach an American Studies introductory course and an
introduction to African American Studies course is essential. We are
particularly interested in applicants who are prepared to offer courses in
cultural history, sports, media, or transnational studies. Teaching experience
