The Department of African American
Studies at the UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO seeks to fill a full-time,
associate or full professor position beginning in August 2010. We seek a
scholar in the social sciences who has strong research and teaching interests
in the African American and/or Black Diasporic experience. The position is in
the Department of African American Studies but may include an appointment in one
of the University's social science departments (such as Anthropology, Criminal
Justice, Geography, Political Science, or Sociology). Candidates should have a
distinguished record of academic publication and teaching.
Salary is competitive and commensurate
